Word Nerd Wednesday: Occision

Oh, and it's Word Nerd Wednesday. Yeah, that too.

 Now, this word is a little tricky. For one, it's mostly obsolete. But of course, that's what Word Nerd Wednesday is all about---giving you new and exciting words to play with.

Here's what to do now:

1) Free write for 10 minutes. Start with this word in your mind and brainstorm around it. It can be about what you think it means, what you want it to mean, or what the sounds remind you of (etc.).

2) Look up the definition here.

3) Free write for another 10 minutes on what this word actually means. How did it defy or meet your expectations? What are your feelings on it? And so on and so forth.

4) Write a poem entitled "occision" using your two freewriting exercises. Use at least two lines, phrases, or ideas from each freewriting session.
