Word Nerd Wednesday: Solipsism

AND THE WORD OF THE WEEK IS....

Solipsism is attractive for a few reasons. First, it sounds lovely. And it looks lovely. So it carries a certain nice aesthetic. Second, the sum of the philosophy can be explained as: "I am the only mind which exists". Which is a pretty interesting. The idea that existence is everything that I experience is a fascinating lens to see your poetry through.

The Prompt

Don't use the word solipsism in your poem. (You can use it in your title if you have to.) Simply write as if you are the middle of the universe. Everything resolves around you -- the only things that exist are filtered through your senses. If you are the sun, let all your imagery branch out from you.
