Word Nerd Wednesday: Raptorial

Hello, fellow word nerds! 

If this Wednesday hasn't exactly gone to plan so far, this post will not cheer you up at all. Which is why we have included this photo:

OK, now that that's over with....on to the word of the day! This week's word?

As you might imagine, raptorial is not exactly the most cheerful of words. "Raptor" is sort of a dead giveaway there.

(1) Stick that word at the top of your poem or freewrite.

(2) Write for 10 minutes with only your inferences and images from the word itself.

(3) Then, look up the definition. Do you like their definition better? Make your "Raptorial" poem based on your freewrite and the actual meaning of the word.
