As you know, each time Word Nerd Wednesday rolls around, we showcase a word we're crushing on, and this one is one of the most unique words we've found so far. It's relatively obscure (so obscure, in fact, that it's thought to have been used only once), and we figure you'd probably just end up Googling it anyway, so here's what it means:
Now that you've been introduced to this ancient beauty...let's dive in:
1. Use the Word of the Day to get yourself writing. Freewrite for ten minutes, look up other archaic words and play with ways to use them with 'uhtceare,' speculate on your own pre-dawn worries, et cetera.
2. Organize your free writing into a poem.
3. Use the Word of the Day as the title of your poem (and watch everyone fumbling over saying it and wondering aloud what the hell kind of word it is).
4. Share it with us!
What word(s) have been popping up in your poetry recently? How did you make use of today's Word of the Day? Let's chat; leave a comment below!
