    I'm sure plenty of us have considered egrote. Because seriously, work. The definition source has some lively ways to avoid work, too, if you're looking for a few tips. While you're plotting ways to beg off work, consider using this writing prompt.

    Let your poem tell a story in the abstract. Your character? A person trying to rationalize getting out of work for an awkward, painful reason. Don't come right out and say it --- work around the reason. See what you get.
